SUMMARY:KANDACE SPRINGS
DESCRIPTION:If the paths of jazz\, blues and pop mostly run in parallel\, it is not at all uncommon for their paths to intersect and come together in a single\, and generally quite intriguing\, stretch.\nFor some time one of these intersections has borne the name of Kandace Springs: the young singer\, pianist and composer based in Nashville who has already been part of the artists of the prestigious Blue Note label since her debut album.\nHer two exceptional godparents: Prince who\, still unknown\, wanted her on stage in Paisley Park in 2014 for the 30th anniversary of “Purple Rain”. And Daryl Hall\, who in 2015 invited her to one of the successful live web sessions with young talents and big stars from her club near New York\, “Live from Daryl’s House”.\n\n\nOn the Blue Note stage she will present her 2020 album The Women Who Raised Me\, a tribute to all the female voices that have been decisive and influential in her career. \n\n\n  \n***Website will require translation

SUMMARY:SCOTT HAMILTON
DESCRIPTION:According to The Guardian\, Scott Hamilton represents the timeless essence of jazz. The tenor saxophonist is known for his captivating style of playing\, for which trumpeter Roy Eldridge was a major influence. After trying out several instruments\, he picked the saxophone when he ended up in New York. He stayed with the instrument ever since and performed with jazz legends such as Ella Fitzgerald\, Benny Goodman and Woody Herman. \nThis concert will feature straight-ahead jazz of the highest level by a musician who has been at the international top for many years. He will be accompanied by some of the finest in Dutch jazz: Rein de Graaff on piano\, Marius Beets on double bass\, and Eric Ineke on drums. \n‘Following a Scott Hamilton solo is like listening to a great conversationalist in full flow. First comes the voice\, the inimitable\, assured sound of his tenor saxophone\, then the informal style and finally the amazing fluency and eloquent command of the jazz language’ (Dave Gelly).
