SUMMARY:KENNY GARRETT
DESCRIPTION:Kenny Garrett [saxophones]\nKeith Brown [piano]\nCorcoran Holt [bass]\nRudy Bird [percussion]\nRonald Bruner [drums] \nNewly named an NEA Jazz Master for 2023\, Kenny Garrett and his swinging quintet will go on a musical journey! The NEA Jazz Masters Fellowship is the nation’s highest honor in jazz. Each year since 1982\, the program has elevated to its ranks a select number of living legends who have made exceptional contributions to the advancement of jazz. \nWith his illustrious career that includes hallmark stints with Miles Davis\, Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers\, Donald Byrd\, Freddie Hubbard\, Woody Shaw and the Duke Ellington Orchestra\, as well as a heralded career as a solo artist that began more than 30 years ago\, Kenny Garrett is easily recognized as one of modern jazz’s brightest and most influential living masters. And with the marvelous Sounds From The Ancestors\, the GRAMMY® Award-winning Garrett shows no signs of resting on his laurels. \nKenny Garrett’s latest release\, Sounds From The Ancestors\, is a multi-faceted album. SUMMARY:RUSSELL MALONE QUINTET
DESCRIPTION:Russell Malone Quintet with special guest George Coleman\n  \n\nRussell Malone – guitar George Coleman – tenor saxophone Michael Weiss – piano Vincent Dupont – bass Willie Jones III – drums “Russell Malone has the storytelling skills of a great\, perhaps a legacy of his many years with Harry Connick\, Jr. and Diana Krall.” – The Times of London Guitar master Russell Malone features very special guest George Coleman with his exceptional quartet of pianist Michael Weiss\, bassist Vincent Dupont\, and drummer Willie Jones III. Malone is a musician deeply rooted in the blues and bebop\, and his soulfully swinging approach is just one of many reasons why he is so popular. SUMMARY:DAMIEN ESCOBAR
DESCRIPTION:Damien Escobar is a world-renowned violinist\, author\, entrepreneur\, and philanthropist\, hailing from Jamaica\, Queens\, and New York. His musical career spans over a decade\, and his inspiring journey of making it big\, losing it all\, fighting to rebuild\, and getting a second chance at success is as much a part of his brand identity as being among the top violinist in the world. \nThe now NAACP Image Award nominee and Billboards chart-topping artist was once humbled by homelessness after calling it quits from his famed group\, “Nuttin but Stringz.” The group\, comprised of Damien and his brother\, Tourie– known in NYC for playing their violins on the subway; gained global recognition when they appeared as contestants on “America’s Got Talent.” The competition helped to catapult the duo into stardom and they quickly experienced all the highs of being the most sought-after musicians of their time. However\, that glory was short-lived and the fall from grace was a hard hit\, to say the very least; as the group disbanded and a bruised Damien made the decision to retire his violin. What came next was a struggle– not only with his identity\, and depression but with finding success in other non-creative endeavors. \nLooking back at his journey\, Damien realizes it all needed to fall apart so he could be forced to grow while putting it back together the right way. Prevailing was a process and it started with unburying his talent– his love of playing the violin. And in 2013 Damien released his first album as a solo artist\, “Sensual Melodies.” Once thought of as a passion project\, the album garnished over 200K downloads; landed on the iTunes Top 100 chart; and served as a springboard for a successful national tour where he headlined\, for the first time\, as the one and only\, Damien Escobar. \nFrom there\, doors that were once closed\, became a little easier to push open; affording Damien opportunities to tell his inspiring story to publications like People Magazine and Huffington Post; make appearances on local and national news including “The Today Show”; serve as a guest on radio broadcasts;  and even accept invitations to perform at notable events such as Oprah Winfrey’s “The Life You Want” tour. Back in the spotlight\, Damien decided this time around he would do more with his visibility and began his entrepreneurial walk by penning and self-publishing his very first children’s book\, “The Sound of Strings”; building his very own line of custom designed violins; and establishing partnerships to develop a wine line\, perfume and fragrances\, and a non-profit organization that would include a music program for children. \nMotivated by his past and grateful for his fans and future\, Damien went on to release his second album\, “Boundless.” Growing into a self-conscious artist with more than a mission to make good music\, Damien sought to inspire change and spread positivity by sharing uplifting messages and telling unfiltered personal stories to sold-out arenas across the world during his second tour. Though he’s achieved more than he could have imagined after pulling himself up by his bootstraps and kick starting his solo career– Damien Escobar’s story isn’t over yet. The breakout artist has partnered with Mitsubishi and is now the face and sound of their latest campaign; he’s releasing new music and videos set to air on major broadcast channels; and\, the world famous violinist\, continues to build his brand centered around making an impact and inspiring social change. Stay tuned\, there’s more to come. \nWith Special Guest Anthony Franks \nParking: $30.00 advanced purchase | $35.00 day of \nValet: $40.00 advanced purchase | $45.00 day of (if not sold out)

SUMMARY:MONTY ALEXANDER
DESCRIPTION:Monty Alexander O.J.: “Honoring Harry Belafonte” with Luke Sellick & Jason Brown \nFrom Kingston\, Jamaica\, his hometown\, Grammy nominated pianist Monty Alexander is an American classic\, touring the world relentlessly with various projects\, delighting a global audience drawn to his vibrant personality and soulful message. A perennial favorite at Jazz festivals and venues worldwide and at the Montreux Jazz Festival where he has appeared 23 times since 1976\, his spirited conception is one informed by the timeless verities: endless melody-making\, effervescent grooves\, sophisticated voicings\, a romantic spirit\, and a consistent predisposition\, as Alexander accurately states\, “to build up the heat and kick up a storm.” In the course of any given performance\, Alexander applies those aesthetics to a repertoire spanning a broad range of jazz and Jamaican musical expressions—the American songbook and the blues\, gospel and bebop\, calypso and reggae. Documented on more than 75 recordings and cited as the fifth greatest jazz pianist ever in The Fifty Greatest Jazz Piano Players of All Time (Hal Leonard Publishing)\, the Jamaican government designated Alexander Commander in the Order of Distinction in 2000 and in 2018 The University of The West Indies bestowed him with an honorary doctorate degree (DLitt) in recognition of his accomplishments. For this engagement\, Monty\, along with bassist Luke Selick and drummer Jason Brown\, commemorates his long friendship with Harry Belafonte\, Jr. in stories and song. \nShowtimes: 7:00pm | 8:30pm | 9:30pm | 10:30pm

SUMMARY:MATTEO BOCELLI
DESCRIPTION:Much of the world first heard acclaimed singer-songwriter Matteo Bocelli on “Fall on Me\,” theEnglish/Italian song that he co-wrote for the elder Bocelli’s acclaimed 2018 album\,Sì\, which topped the Billboard 200 and the UK Official Albums chart. The song\, which has amassed over 300 million combined global streams\, went on to soundtrack Disney’sThe Nutcracker and the Four Realms. The pair performed “Fall on Me” at Madison Square Garden and the Hollywood Bowl as well as on numerous television programs\, including “Dancing with the Stars\,” Colbert\, “Good MorningAmerica\,” “TheRoyal Variety Performance” and “Strictly Come Dancing.” It was a powerful introduction\, but Matteo’s musical journey began when he was a child.By age six\, he was learning piano\, and as a teenager his passion for music rivaled his love of sport. At18 he made his stage debut\, singing Verdi at the Colosseum in Rome. He’s worked his whole life to master his craft. But the melodies that emerge whenever the young man opens his mouth feel real in a way that can’t be explained by a classical education. He sings with a purity of expression that seems innate\, with charisma and clarity of purpose. Matteo\, who is graduating at the Conservatory of Lucca in Tuscany\, has just released the new single\,Tempo\, which has been tapped for the European/UK advertising campaign for the new Fiat 500 LaPrima. The stylish new vehicle sets the pace for a madcap adventure throughout Tuscany in the official video. Tempo is the follow-up to his duet with Latin superstar\, Sebastian Yatra\, Until She’s Gone\, his first duet since 2018’sFall On Me with his father. Matteo\, who is fluent in Spanish released the track in various languages–Tu Luz Quedó(Spanish) and Un Attimo Di Te(Italian).“You need this artist on your radar\,” saidEuphoria Magazine after Matteo released his fittingly titled debut single“Solo”on Capitol Records in 2021. Combined global streams of the song have surpassed seven million and views of the official video now exceed five million. In recent months he also appeared on the star-studded PBS special “In Performance at the WhiteHouse: Spirit of the Season\,” “TODAY”\,CNN’s New Year’s Eve special\, Good Morning America and The Kelly Clarkson Show.
