Three Wishes

Herbie Mann responded to Nica’s question of three wishes with the following: 

1. 1. “That all these nuts should quit messing around these goddamn bombs! Otherwise: forget it.”

   2. “I think I’d like to be independently wealthy as far as money goes, and be free to play what I want, when I want to, and not have to worry about what people worry about.”

   3. “I’d like everybody to mean what they say they mean about non-discrimination.”
