Jeno Beamter was born on August 7, 1912 in Budapest, Hungary. Graduating from high school in 1930 he was already trained as a drummer at the age of seven, although he was taught to play the violin. He completed his musical studies privately. From 1930 , he was taught to play the drums by Vilmos Roubal, a member of the Opera House. He soon began to play the vibraphone.
From 1933 he played in various bands, Bubi Vibraphone Ensemble, Solymossy–Beamter Duo, Ernő Vécsey Ensemble, Martiny Band, and Szabó–Beamter Duo. He made his first recordings with the Smiling Boys band.
The various jazz formations of Jenő Horváth’s Radiola Band, the Herrer band, the Durium band, Tabányi and its soloists, János Gaál Gyulai’s small band, and the Deák Big Band were the prominent bands in which he played. He made guest appearances in Austria, Switzerland, the GDR, England, and Yugoslavia.
In the 1970s, he performed with Barbra Streisand and Frank Sinatra in a joint show at the Kennedy Center. Jeno performed live with Tabányi on Hungarian Radio for fifteen years, almost every Sunday.
Drummer, vibraphonist, composer and educator Jeno Beamter, who performed in the traditional, modern and was one of the legendary figures of Hungarian swing music, died on January 11, 1984 in the city of his birth.

Charlie Harrington ws born on August 1, 1972 in child prodigy, he has played drums since the age of 5 and performed professionally since the age of 15. He studied with and became the protégé of jazz drumming legend Ray Bauduc. He went on to study with classical percussionist Tim Tull. His drumming influences include Buddy Rich, Louie Bellson, Ed Shaughnessy, Joe Morello, and Peter Erskine.
Additionally he leads his own band, Charlie Harrington and the Jazz Express. He has shared the stage with Woody Herman, Freddie Green, Stan Mark, Kirk Whalem, Larry Coryell, Kurt Elling, John Scofield, Benny Golson, Barbara Streisand, Dave Brubeck, Richie Cole, Tony Bennett, Ira Sullivan, Carly Simon, Ari Brown, Junko Onishi and Eddie “Cleanhead” vinson.
As a bluesman he performed with Joe “Guitar” Hughes, and Stevie Ray Vaughan. He has taken master classes with Ed Soph, Louie Bellson, Jack DeJohnette, Donny Osborne, Johnny Rabb, Clayton Cameron, Butch Miles, Steve Smith, Joe Morello, Jeff Hamilton, Bill Stewart, Steve Gadd, Billy Cobham, Jeff Tain Watts, Peter Erskine, and Ed Shaughnessy.
The highly inventive and skilled drummer Charlie Harrington, who has yet to record as a leader or sideman, continues to build a body of work and performs in trio, small group settings and big band ensembles.

Larry Washington was born on July 24, 1956 in Detroit, Michigan. His passion for music began in the Motor City and he started playing drums at a very young age. He knew even then that music and performing would become his career. Graduating from Southwestern High School in 1974, the following year he went on to matriculate through Wayne County Community College District.
Larry has recorded, performed and toured throughout the United States and internationally. He has performed on MTV, BET, ABC, NBC, Billboard Music Awards, Trumpet Awards, Diversity Awards, The Princess Diaries, Showgirls, The Whitehouse, and The Apollo (London), just to name a few.
Building on his success as a drummer, as a producer he has been featured in commercials, television and film. As a music composer, sound designer, and foley artist. He is focused on reaching out to younger musicians, and sharing his knowledge and experiences in a positive and motivational workshop environment.
Drummer, sound designer, music producer, composer, recording artist and educator Larry Washington currently lives in Los Angeles, California and continues to compose, perform, record and produce.

Peter Perfido‘was born on July 21, 1956 in Hartford, Connecticut. He started his drumming musical journey in the early Sixties being influenced by the British Wave of the Beatles, the Kinks, the Animals, and the Who. By the mid 70’s Peter had begun to discover jazz and improvised music. While predominantly self-taught, he studied privately with Kit McDermott, Bob Moses and Jerry Granelli. His career has involved playing jazz, improvised music, rock and blues with scores of lauded musicians from diverse styles and backgrounds.
Peter has performed and/or recorded with Chet Baker, Gary Peacock, Lee Konitz, Jimmy Woode, Bill Barron, Art Lande, Julian Priester, David Friedman, Tomasz Stanko, Sal Nistico, Kent Carter, Rasul Siddik, Bob Degen, Heinz Sauer, Bob Mover, Ed Schuller, Anthony Braxton, Joe Lee Wilson, Lou Bennett, Bobby Few, Barney Wilen, Bobby Few, Liz McComb, Michelle Hendricks, Ferenc Snetberger, Rinde Eckert, Lonnie Plaxico , Stephen Haynes, Michel Pilz, Lonnie Plaxico, and the list goes on.
He has toured across the USA, Western Canada, Europe, Asia, the USSR and the Pacific islands. Currently living in Hohrod, Alsace, France, drummer Peter Perfido performs mostly in Europe these days with groups spanning a wide spectrum of influences from mainstream modern jazz to open ended explorations with free improvisation, as well as shuffling and rocking the blues.

Adrian Tilbrook was born on July 20, 1948 in Hartlepool, Co. Durham, England. The son of a tenor saxophone/clarinet player, he studied drums for two years with Max Abrams. In 1974 he replaced Tony Hicks in the blues-influenced rock trio Back Door and toured extensively in Germany and the UK in the 70s with British blues giant Alexis Korner.
Tilbrook formed Full Circle with trombonist Rick Taylor in 1984 and ventured into jazz. Throughout his freelance career, played with many American musicians, including Eddie ‘Lockjaw’ Davis, Al Grey, James Moody, Jimmy Witherspoon and Al Casey, as well as British artists such as Ian Carr, Allan Holdsworth, Don Weller and Stan Tracey.
A powerful and tasteful technician, he has been influenced by Elvin Jones and Billy Higgins. Drummer Adrian Tilbrook, who has taught percussion for many years and since 1986 has worked with Northern Arts/Yorkshire Arts as Jazz Development Officer based at Jazz Action in Darlington, continues to perform and record.
