The Jazz Voyager

The Jazz Voyager is flying off to the Pacific Northwest to sit in on a set at Hermann’s Jazz Club. Located at 753 View Street, Victoria, British Columbia V8W 1J9, Canada, this restaurant is also a space offering live jazz in a low-key setting. Established in 1981 at the Bastion Inn on Government Street by German entrepreneur Hermann Nieweler, until he moved it to its current corner location in 1986.

The venue has a menu featuring crab cakes, salads, yam fries, mushroom ravioli, gluten-free options, desserts, non-alcoholic beverages, and a full bar. The hours of operation are 5:00 pm to midnight, seven days a week. For more information, the number is +1 250-388-9166.

Jazz voyagers are going to get their ten dollars worth with the Tom Vickery Trio’s jazz jam tonight where one only hopes to catch some of the city’s finest musicians perform.

Three Wishes

The Baroness inquired of Flip Stewart what he would wish for if he had three wishes and he replied:

  1. “A good gig, playing with cats I can really stretch out with ~ who cook!”
  2. “I have a daughter. I wish I could get he set up so things’d be nice for her when she gets ready to go to college. She’s ten and she plays the piano.”
  3. “I want to get myself straightened out.”

The Jazz Voyager

The Jazz Voyager is back out in the Midwest at 19 N Gore Avenue, St. Louis, Missouri 63119 rummaging through the 6000-square foot store called Euclid Records. The store has been in business for 31 years and has over half a million titles covering the gambit of music. I have a feeling that digging in this Webster Grove site should produce some jazz classics as this city was a bedrock of jazz musicians.

They sell new vinyl which has become more and more prevalent in the industry and has a worldwide mail-order business. So send them your wish list and they just may be able to accommodate you.

Their doors open every day at 10:00 am and close Monday thru Thursday at 8:00 pm, Friday and Saturday at 9:00 and on Sunday at 5:00 pm.
