The Jazz Voyager

Once again the Jazz Voyager is enroute across the Atlantic to Sweden for a little bit of jazz at Fasching. The jazz club and concert venue is located in the central part of the city at Kungsgatan 63, 111 22 Stockholm, Sweden.

Opening in 1977 and taking its name from the party that precedes Lent and Easter, it has grown to become Scandinavia’s largest organizer of jazz. With concerts numbering around 250 annually, they present both emerging and international musicians amidst full bar and restaurant.

This coming Saturday outing brings the Mike Stern/Dave Weckl Band to the stage for the nightly performance and this voyager is set for dinner and a show. Until then I will be scouring Stockholm for other jazz haunts, record shops and unknown attractions.

For information on tickets and online purchase, age requirements and other information the number to call is +46 8 20 00 66.
