Nica asked Ray McKinney what he would wish for if he was given three and his response was:

Three Wishes
Joe Zawinul replied to Pannonica when she inquired of him the three wishes he would ask for:
- “To be able to play better my instrument.”
- “Love. Period.”
- “To make a decent living, and not play no bullshit.”

Three Wishes

When Monk Montgomery was asked by the Baroness if given what his three wishes would be he responded by telling her:
- “My first wish would be that the older people let the younger people think for themselves.”
- “I wish they would give jazz an opportunity.”
- “I wish I could beat you just one time at Ping-Pong.”

Three Wishes
Pannonica had the opportunity to query three wishes from Joe Williams and he told her:
- “I wish everyone could be happy.”
- “Since God’s given me the tenor, I’d like to sing the things I want to sing, with the apropos background.”
- “I wish that there would be as much publicity about the jazz musicians that support their families as there is about their failings. And that’s ninety-five percent of them, support their families.”
