The Jazz Voyager
The Comstock Saloon is next destination as the Jazz Voyager is on a jet plane heading towards the West Coast and the city by the bay. This is where the historic saloon is situated in the North Beach neighborhood at 155 Columbus Avenue, San Francisco, California 94133.
Founded in 1907, the bar is named after Henry Comstock and his Comstock Lode. The building itself, formerly the home of the second oldest bar in San Francisco, the 102 year old San Francisco Brewing Company. Currently owned by Jeff Hollinger and Jonny Raglin, who supply enough trios and quartets to satisfy any visitor with enough jazz.
Don’t know who this jazz voyager will be having the pleasure of listening to in this not necessarily a listening room, so this sojourn will be a surprise. Table reservations are recommended and can be made along with other information gathered at 415-617-0073.
