LENNY ROBINSON TRIO
Lenny Robinson has become one of the foremost voices of jazz at the drums. He grew up in Baltimore, Md. in a very rich musical environment. He played piano and organ in his father’s church in his early teens. He also played trumpet in both junior high and high school. The love of percussion was felt in the ninth grade and the rest, as they say, is history.
He studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Music as well as Morgan State University and has gone on to perform or record with a who’s who of artists. A partial list would include: Dewey Redman, Clifford Jordan, Warren Wolf, Carter Jefferson, Vanessa Rubin, Lou Donaldson, Roy Hargrove, Charles McPherson, Kenny Barron, Eartha Kitt, Gary Bartz, Eddie Henderson, Joey DeFrancesco, Ahmad Jamal, Keter Betts, John Hicks, Sean Jones, Larry Willis, Don Braden,Terence Blanchard as well as the Bill Cosby show “You Bet Your Life”. He was also a member of the late Stanley Turrentine’s working band and has toured and recorded with Marlena Shaw.
Lenny is the leader of The Lenny Robinson Group as well as the co-leader of Lenny Robinson and ThreeForAll. He has an organ group called the “Organic Trio”, and he leads the piano-less trio “MadCurious which features Brian Settles on saxophone and Tarus Mateen on bass.

The Jazz Voyager
The Jazz Voyager is jumping on a plane to return to Magic City on the east coast for some more jazz. The venue is the Miami Beach Bandshell where performances of all genres are held. This historic space was initially erected as the North Shore Community Center, it has undergone several renovations where several television programs were broadcasted. By the 1980s and 90s it became a venue for music.
The Jazz Voyager will be in the audience to witness the vocal talents of Philadelphia native, now Miami’s own Nicole Henry. LOVE: The Greatest Gift is the message for the season. This is her 12th Annual Winter Fundraising Concert is a holiday tradition bringing joy and love for all the music lovers, advocates, and community.

JACKY TERRASSON
Jacky Terrasson, the most widely traveled of all jazz pianists, is the piano player of happiness, according to Telerama magazine in France. He is an exhilarating musician, one of those who play their public straight to euphoria.
Born in Berlin, of an American mother and a French father, he grew up in France, in Paris. He started to learn the piano when was 5 and after studying classical piano in school, he began to study jazz, in particular with Jeff Gardner. His encounter with Francis Paudras (whose movie, “Round Midnight”, tells the moving story of a lasting friendship with Bud Powell) will be an important part of his initiation in jazz. Jacky then leaves for the United States to attend the Berklee College of Music. In 1993, after he wins the prestigious Thelonious Monk Award, he begins touring with Betty Carter. He then decides to move to New York, where he still lives today.
Exactly one year after his triumph in the Thelonious Monk competition, Jacky Terrasson was introduced in the New York Times Magazine as one of the 30 under 30, that is to say one of the 30 artists most likely to change American culture in the next 30 years, and signed with the prestigious Blue Note label.
